Durant MVP

Kevin Durant won his way into our hearts with his now infamous MVP speech, but he won his way onto this list with one of, if not the greatest scoring season from a wing ever. . . The marvel of Durant’s 13-14 season is under-appreciated due to a lack-lustre post-season from the Thunder, and an injury marred 2014-15 campaign. At the end of 2014 a lot of people believed that Durant and not one, LeBron James was the best player in the NBA. While his time on the sidelines may have stalled that train some last year the debate should rage again this upcoming season.

A healthy Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, and Thunder core is something we’ve never really seen in the post-season, perhaps this upcoming year will get our chance to view it. In that situation Durant would get a chance to even further elevate himself on our list.

A couple of quick facts; one, Durant is the youngest player on this list by a comfortable margin, and two, he makes his appearance one day and one spot ahead of the older and more accomplished Paul Pierce. How do you feel about that?
