Chuck Strong
Charles Barkley is a legend; to the older generation he was a hard working and hustling machine, they watched him battle night in, and night out for 15 years.. To the younger generation he was a controversial entertainer, a former legend, who ultimately had no problem saying outlandish things on or off the court. It’s not surprising Barkley finds himself this high on the list, he was under-sized, over-matched, and still prevailed, battling all the way to his very own MVP award.
While Barkley never won the big one, he played on several meaningful teams, with an assortment of legends, further propelling his own icon status. Retiring in 2000, Barkley sits 18th all time in rebounds and 24th in points. Aside from his MVP year (1993), he finished top six in the voting on seven other occasions.
